Deft normally takes a set of text files and for each file, displays a widget in the Deft buffer that, when pressed/clicked, opens the corresponding file. It started out as a personal project to build a Notational Velocity clone, a fantastic app I used for years to write small notes quickly and to be able to. I am trying to make an extension to the wonderful Deft package that can preview/view files in a side window of the Deft buffer (similar to the functionality of the original Notational Velocity).

I wish there was a clean, easy to use, offline, local storage, open source, or at least one time payment, second brain/ productivity app, like Notion.Ĭlean UI and easy to use if you follow the recommended way to use it from the original developer.ĭifferent behaviors for widget-button-press and widget-button-click.Preferably has some kind of lightweight organizational setup (like Notational Velocity or Obsidian). It allows users to create notes using solely a computer keyboard and search them using. For screenshots and features, see the Terminal Velocity website.
